1-Tin Chickpea-(400gm)
1-hand full Spinach
1-medium Onion
1-small Carrot
1-hand full of roasted Cashews
1-Egg
1/2-tsp Chilli powder
1/2-tsp Paprika
1/2-tsp Salt
2-tbsp-Yogurt
1-tbsp-Ground Rice flour or Plain flour
2-tbsp-Veg or Olive Oil
Directions
- Dice onion and carrot into small pieces, slice spinach thinly and breakup cashew into small pieces by any means. Open chickpea tin, drain and keep aside to cool.
- Place chickpea and yogurt into a mixer and blend quickly till you get a coarse texture. Remove chickpea into a bowl and then add all other ingredients except the egg. The egg should be added spoon by spoon as required to build up texture.
Once the mix is done, ensure the texture is not too wet and runny. The mix should be ideal for shaping into burgers using the palm of your hand. If it’s too wet, add a little more ground rice flour.
Heat up a flat pan on medium heat and add the Oil. Wait for Oil to become hot and then place your burgers into the pan and cook for 3-minutes on each side. Turn once or twice if it looks as if it’s burning.
Finish off with placing your burger in a brioche bun or any other and top up with your favourite salad, mayo and a squeeze of ketchup.
